This is the first article in our Partner Spotlight series, where AVSystem's partners share, in their own words, how they work with us and what Cloud ACS brings to their customers.
Before committing to an ACS platform, Lucas Telecom did what good engineers do: tested the capabilities in the lab and compared the major players on the market. The French company supplies turnkey connectivity solutions to fixed-line operators, with a particular presence among carrier and MSO customers in the Caribbean and Southern Europe and a focus on standards-based, end-to-end PON and fiber solutions. The platform behind CPE provisioning and monitoring was not a rushed decision.
The choice landed on AVSystem Cloud ACS, the SaaS model of AVSystem's Hybrid CPE Management Platform: AVSystem hosts and operates the service, and partners and operators use it to provision, monitor, and manage CPE fleets over both TR-069 and TR-369 / USP.
We asked Christophe Lucas, President of Lucas Telecom, about the evaluation, the partnership, and what his carrier customers get out of it.
What made you decide to partner with AVSystem and offer Cloud ACS?
It was quite a long decision cycle, actually. We had been in touch with the AVSystem team through Caribbean tradeshows for a while. We were convinced of standards-based architectures, particularly for end-to-end PON and fiber solutions, and we needed an ACS platform for PON CPE provisioning and monitoring.
We then made a market comparison with the major ACS players and selected AVSystem for three reasons: the versatility of the platform, the ease of working with AVSystem as a channel partner, and excellent support at all levels, both before and after the in-depth training of our technical team in Poland.
We had also been convinced for a while of the value of Wi-Fi management at the MSO and carrier level, and again, AVSystem delivers it in a standards-based way.
What problem does Cloud ACS solve for your customers?
Provisioning and monitoring of CPE devices, and Wi-Fi management at the MSO level.
What stands out to you: zero-touch provisioning, Wi-Fi optimization, TR-369 support?
All of them, actually. Lucas Telecom has tested them all in our labs and with production customers, except the customer experience management capabilities, which we haven't implemented yet. We need to keep some challenges for what's ahead.
What results or feedback have you seen since offering it?
Adherence of our company to the solution, and good feedback from customers, who are preparing an expansion with additional services and subscribers.
How does AVSystem help you win and take care of your customers?
As mentioned, excellent support at all levels: sales, pre-sales, and post-sales. It's a successful mix to win and serve customers together.
What is the collaboration like day-to-day?
Simple and smooth. Always reactive, straightforward, and efficient in providing the best answers and a competitive solution to our carrier customers.
How would you sum up AVSystem as a partner?
Always supportive in order to achieve customer satisfaction.

Bring standards-based CPE management to your customers
Lucas Telecom's path is one many channel partners follow: validate the platform in the lab, train the technical team, then take it to carrier customers with AVSystem's support behind every stage. If you supply or integrate connectivity solutions and want to add CPE management to your offer, Cloud ACS gives you a platform to build on without operating the infrastructure yourself.

FAQ
What does an ACS platform do for a fiber or PON operator? An ACS (Auto Configuration Server) remotely provisions, configures, monitors, and diagnoses CPE devices over TR-069. For fiber operators, this means subscriber gateways can be activated and managed centrally instead of through manual, on-site configuration.
Does Cloud ACS work for PON and fiber deployments? Yes. Lucas Telecom uses Cloud ACS for PON CPE provisioning and monitoring for its carrier customers. Cloud ACS is multi-vendor by design, with device support subject to data-model validation and integration.
What is Wi-Fi management at the MSO or carrier level? It means managing subscribers' home Wi-Fi centrally from the operator's side: visibility into Wi-Fi conditions, remote configuration, and optimization across the whole CPE fleet, using standards-based device management rather than vendor-specific tools.
How does a channel partnership with AVSystem work? Partners resell or integrate Cloud ACS with support from AVSystem across sales, pre-sales, and post-sales, including technical training. Get in touch through the contact form to discuss the model that fits your business.
