First Line Support Engineer – IoT
Join our team as a First Line Support Engineer and help ensure the performance and reliability of IoT solutions used by enterprise customers around the world. This role is a great opportunity for students and early-career engineers who want to gain hands-on experience in technical support, networking, Linux environments, and enterprise IoT systems, while building a strong foundation for future business or technical roles within the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Perform 1st line support duties, including prioritizing and acknowledging support tickets.
- Help troubleshoot basic application, connectivity, and IoT-related issues using internal documentation and support practices.
- Escalate complex issues to 2nd/3rd line support and collaborate with internal teams to ensure resolution.
- Maintain and contribute to our knowledge base by documenting common issues and solutions.
- Provide excellent customer service through effective communication and issue resolution.
- Once you are fully onboarded and confident in your responsibilities, you will participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation – this is an additional paid opportunity. Actual interventions are rare, so most of the time it mainly involves monitoring and being on standby.
Requirements
- Student or recent graduate in computer science, telecommunications, engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent Polish (C1) and English (B2+).
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (DNS, DHCP, HTTP(S), TCP/UDP).
- Basic familiarity with Linux systems, command line tools, log analysis, and script execution.
- Interest in IoT technologies and technical support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work with customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of IoT devices and protocols.
- CCNA certification or equivalent networking expertise.
- Experience with IT monitoring tools and REST API integrations.
