AVSystem, a global provider of device and service management solutions, has partnered with AllPoints Fibre Networks (APFN) to deliver the UK’s first multi-tenant Auto Configuration Server (ACS)-as-a-Service model - simplifying broadband service delivery and reducing operational costs for Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
Built on AVSystem’s Cloud ACS and integrated into APFN’s aquila wholesale platform, the new service gives network partners a smarter, more efficient way to activate, manage, and monitor Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) without the need to host or maintain their own infrastructure.
Transforming the ISP Operations Model
Traditionally, ISPs have been required to host and operate their own Layer 3 systems such as ACS, RADIUS, and diagnostics platforms, creating technical and cost barriers to scaling. By integrating these capabilities directly into the aquila platform, APFN and AVSystem have redefined how ISPs can access and manage these services.
AVSystem’s unique multi-tenant architecture enables multiple ISPs to securely share one ACS instance, each maintaining their own branding, configuration, and control. Delivered as a service, it automates device provisioning, firmware management, and diagnostics, streamlining the end-to-end customer activation process.
“Working with AVSystem allowed us to bring to market an innovation that truly changes the way ISPs operate”, said Ronan Kelly, Managing Director at AllPoints Fibre Networks. “By integrating ACS-as-a-Service into the aquila platform, we’ve eliminated technical complexity for our partners. Now, they can scale nationally without expanding their own infrastructure - a real step forward for the UK broadband industry".
Driving Efficiency and Growth
The joint solution enables ISPs to:
- Reduce operational costs by eliminating local ACS or RADIUS hosting.
- Accelerate service activation through zero-touch provisioning.
- Simplify operations with a single, unified platform.
- Improve reliability and customer satisfaction via proactive diagnostics and automation.
- Prepare for the future with full support for both TR-069 and TR-369 (USP) protocols.
“This partnership perfectly illustrates the power of Cloud ACS and open standards like TR-069 and TR-369”, said Jarosław Gorczowski, Senior Business Development Director at AVSystem. “Together with APFN, we’ve built a flexible, future-ready model that lets ISPs manage millions of devices securely, while focusing on growth and customer experience rather than infrastructure management”.
This collaboration represents a key milestone in APFN’s mission to simplify broadband delivery and enable nationwide reach for its partners, while reinforcing AVSystem’s position as a leading provider of standards-based, scalable device management platforms.
