Enegan, an Italian multi-utility company delivering broadband services through its Telecommunications Business Unit, has standardized CPE provisioning and remote management with Cloud ACS, AVSystem’s SaaS platform for managing devices over the TR-069 and TR-369 protocols. Our new case study, available now, describes how the company moved from a manual device workflow to centralized, automated fleet management.
The challenge: a manual workflow that couldn’t keep up
Before adopting Cloud ACS, every customer device had to be configured individually and physically verified before installation. As Enegan’s subscriber base grew, this manual process became a bottleneck: it was highly time-consuming, did not scale, and configuring each device by hand significantly increased the risk of configuration errors.

The solution: standardized, automated provisioning
With Cloud ACS, a new device connects and registers with the platform, receives a standardized configuration, and is then administered remotely throughout its lifecycle. Enegan’s Network Operations Center (NOC) now uses the platform for customer CPE provisioning, configuration management and updates, and maintaining an accurate inventory across the whole fleet.
The platform met approximately 90% of the company’s requirements out of the box, requiring very little customization. Its usability and reliability were the decisive factors in Enegan’s choice.
“What I value most is the platform’s high level of usability. It is simple to use, highly reliable, and presents very few operational issues. I would recommend Cloud ACS because of its ease of use, the completeness of the software right from the initial deployment, and its ability to centralize device administration efficiently — helping operators streamline management while maintaining consistency and control across their device fleet” — Mirko Mosca, Head of the Network Operations Center at Enegan.
The results
By replacing manual setup with a standardized, automated approach, Enegan’s NOC saved countless hours of manual effort, ensured consistent configurations across the device fleet, and now maintains an accurate, centralized device inventory. The move also positioned Enegan to keep scaling its broadband services.
