TCL, a pioneer in display technology across feature-rich smartphones, tablets, and smart connected devices, and AVSystem, a leader in broadband services management on open standards, have announced to collaborate on developing an integrated device and device management system. This solution will help service providers to quickly and efficiently deploy new devices, improve operational efficiency, and ultimately increase customer satisfaction in the rapidly evolving telecommunications industry. At present, the system has been deployed in the TCL LINKKEY IK511, one of the world’s first 3GPP R17 5G RedCap USB dongle powered by Snapdragon® X35 5G Modem-RF System.
TCL utilizes AVSystem's Broadband Forum TR-069-based Auto Configuration Server Platform - Unified Device Management Platform (UMP) to manage its devices deployed for service providers. TCL LINKKEY IK511 is set to further the adoption of 5G by empowering industrial and consumer IoT applications and offering simple and efficient remote management solutions. The users will be able to monitor and manage the real-time status of massive Machine-to-Machine (M2M) devices in environments like retail, agriculture, manufacturing, and others. This will improve overall business efficiency and end-customer experience.
“With a global customer base in over 60 countries, AVSystem is the preferred choice for device management for service providers, both mobile and fixed. Our partnership with TCL is in response to the industry’s fast-growing needs for turnkey solutions from hardware to management platforms, with the flexibility of deploying either on-premise or in the cloud, especially in Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and accelerated Fiber to the Premise (FTTx) broadband services” - says, William Yan, AVSystem’s Head of Global CSP Sales.
“As a global top three brand in mobile broadband, TCL works closely with carriers and partners to offer users safe, high-speed, reliable, and seamless full-scenario FWA & MBB solutions. TCL is committed to unlocking the true potential of 5G-based IoT services with its connected devices that enable everyday use cases within homes, small businesses, and M2M environments creating new possibilities for all” - states Lily Xiao, Head of Smart Connected Device Global Business Development at TCL Communication.
