The integration connects Coiote NMS with MTG Corporate PKI & Certificate Lifecycle Manager, eliminating manual certificate handling for Gateway Administrators and Metering Point Operators.
The solution is built on LwM2M for device management and Enrollment over Secure Transport for certificate enrollment. Two standard, lightweight protocols that work together to automate the full certificate lifecycle.
EST is supported over both HTTPS and CoAP transports, giving operators flexibility while maintaining secure certificate requests, validation, authentication, and access control.
This architecture ensures strict compliance with the BSI TR-03109 standard governing smart metering CA and SMGW networks in Germany. By streamlining protocol-driven security, the integration provides robust and compliant network management infrastructure for the smart grid.
